Resting Place

I am so heavy, she sighed,

her voice dripping with the

weight it took to speak,

letting her feet fall to

the floor like two stones

chaining her to the world.

Put it down, I tell her.

If it’s heavy, put it down.

But where?

Where?

  1. I enjoyed the narrative flow giving bones to this poem. The visuals yanked me right into this stone dungeons with these two/one character(s). Lovely. And just a bit creepy.

Thoughts? I love those.
