I want to figure out
what I’m trying to say
and what we’re all
trying to say –
with this assortment
of twenty six letters
that is all we have
and is still somehow
enough.
(Wrote this for an application essay to attend a summer writing workshop)
I really love this one. What great thoughts!
Thank you so much! 🙂
Welcome.
Perfect. Have a good writing workshop. 🙂
Thanks Alice! 🙂 And hopefully – I don’t know if I’ve gotten in yet!
Of course. If this is the right thing for you to do, you’ll get in. But you hardly need a workshop. You, my dear, ARE a poetry workshop. Alice
Alice, I’m smiling like an idiot right now 🙂 You say the best things. I am unworthy.
You are worthy of a world’s worth of smiles. Keep writing. And keep smiling. 🙂

Wishing you all the best for the writing workshop.
Thank you! 🙂 Not sure if I’ve made it yet – should know by the end of the month!
Those 26 letters rarely *seem* like enough. But, yes, it’s all we have. And with poetry it can make all the difference. I hope you are accepted as a *teacher* at the writing workshop!
Yes, it makes all the difference 🙂 And thank you! What a wonderful thing to say!!
